School Placement
During the first summer of the program, all Urban Teacher Center (UTC) cohorts work and live in Baltimore for six weeks of training working in programs with children and youth in the mornings and pursuing their graduate coursework in afternoons. UTC places residents with school partners in Baltimore City, MD and Washington, D.C. Residents either stay with their same school partner all four years, or conduct their residency year in one school and move to a different school for the final three years of their commitment.
